The Mill Hotel Brisbane - Sold

In a significant transaction for Brisbane's Spring Hill hospitality market, The Mill Hotel — the ground-floor bar, restaurant, and gaming venue within Madison Tower Mill Hotel — has been sold as part of the broader divestment of the integrated property at 239 Wickham Terrace, with the transaction facilitated by HTL Property.

The Mill Hotel operated as a modern Queensland bar and restaurant on the ground floor of the Madison Tower Mill Hotel, serving food and beverages seven days a week with breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, alongside a fully licensed gaming lounge featuring 14 electronic gaming machines (EGMs). The venue was well-regarded for its casual dining atmosphere, patio space, function capability, and strong local patronage, complementing the 70-room hotel operation above.

The integrated property — a dual-income asset combining hotel accommodation and a ground-floor hospitality venue — sits on a strategic 1,462 sqm freehold site at the edge of Brisbane's prestigious 'Golden Triangle,' adjacent to Wickham Park and within close proximity to Brisbane Private Hospital and the CBD. The property's flexible Mixed-Use zoning provides significant development optionality for an incoming owner.

The transaction was handled by HTL Property's Glenn Price, Andrew Jackson, and Nic Simarro, who positioned the asset as a rare integrated hotel and gaming opportunity within a constrained Brisbane supply landscape and ahead of the 2032 Olympic Games.

For Madison Hotels, the sale of The Mill Hotel and the broader Tower Mill asset reflects a considered portfolio decision — recycling capital from a well-performing, mature integrated operation to pursue new management and investment opportunities across the Australian market. Madison Hotels continues to operate across Canberra, Townsville, and Sydney, focused on owner-operated hospitality management.

Madison Hotels thanks The Mill Hotel team for their dedication to the venue across the years of operation, and wishes the incoming ownership group every success with what remains one of Brisbane's most distinctive integrated hotel and hospitality assets.
